The onyx is semi translucent and has some white and brown striping.

The photos do not do justice to the reality! What a spectacular piece of jewelry! The onyx is amazingly beautiful with its white and brown banding (like Botswana agate, but deeper) and is polished to perfection. The silver work is substantial and gorgeous in every way. The garnet cabochons perfectly complement the onyx. The seller/silversmith is fantastic: she put an extra ring in for me, just to be sure the bracelet would fit, but somehow it shipped immediately anyway! I look forward to ordering another of her beautiful creations in the future.
